Job summary

Ace Hardware in Grand Rapids seeks outgoing Sales Associates to welcome customers and provide personalized help. No heavy hardware experience required as training is provided, with emphasis on friendly service, accurate product guidance, and maintaining a clean, organized store.

You will assist with stocking, pricing, and merchandising while ensuring a safe, professional environment and a positive shopping experience for neighbors and guests alike.

Qualifications

• Ability to share product information and answer questions effectively.
• Comfort with standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.

• Ensure all calls and pages are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.

We are seeking outgoing, friendly, and helpful team members to welcome and assist customers. Previous hardware experience is a plus but not a requirement as we provide extensive training.

General Summary:

The Sales Associate's are primarily responsible for helping customers. They also assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Retail experience (preferred)
• Hardware experience (preferred)
