Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Sales Associate to provide world-class customer service and meet sales goals in our retail environment.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, presenting products, answering questions, and coordinating with the team to ensure a positive shopping experience. This role emphasizes strong communication, product knowledge, and a friendly, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to make customers feel welcome.
• High school or equivalent (Preferred).
• Retail experience: Retail Associates & Cashiers 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct customers.
• Provide accurate information on product features, pricing and after-sales services.
• Answer customers’ questions about products/services.
• Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing.
• Cross-sell products.
• Coordinate with the sales team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times).
• Provide customer feedback to the General Manager.
• Stay up-to-date with new products/services.

You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products and services and recommend solutions. You must possess the ability to connect with a variety of people, and deliver an impactful shopping experience. A positive attitude and hard work ethic will make you successful in this role.

Ultimately, you will ensure that customers leave our store satisfied and you will contribute to the store’s profitability.
