Job summary

The Center for Transforming Lives in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Sales Associate to support daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service in a welcoming environment.

You will assist in driving sales and donations through positive interactions while ensuring the store remains clean, organized, and well-stocked. Cross-trained across front-of-house and back-of-house tasks, you’ll work closely with leadership, staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 6 months of retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and donors in a friendly, professional manner; support a positive shopping and donation experience that encourages repeat visits.
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately; process purchases, handle cash and card transactions, and follow all cash handling procedures; bag items for customer.
• Maintain sales floor by keeping the store clean, organized and fully shoppable; restock merchandise, straighten displays and maintain fitting rooms throughout the day.
• Assist with product placement, floor moves and store rearranging as needed to maintain an appealing and effective shopping environment.
• Support donation intake and processing activities as needed, including sorting, hanging, tagging, and moving merchandise to the sales floor.
• Work alongside staff and volunteers to maintain productivity, organization and a positive team environment.
• Adhere to store policies, procedures, and safety guidelines; complete tasks as assigned by store leadership.

SUMMARY

The Sales Associate is responsible for supporting daily store operations by delivering excellent customer service and contributing to a clean, organized, and well-stocked shopping environment. This role assists in driving sales and donations through positive customer interactions and efficient execution of store tasks.

Sales Associates are cross-trained across front-of-house and back-of-house functions, including cashiering, merchandising, fitting room management and basic donation processing support. This position works closely with store leadership, staff and volunteers to ensure a productive and welcoming environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Ability to operate or learn POS systems
