Job summary

Carter’s Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first face of our brand for families. You’ll greet customers, showcase baby essentials, and help families prepare for school moments while delivering an exceptional shopping experience.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment, handling POS transactions, restocking, and explaining promotions and loyalty benefits. A friendly, proactive approach and ability to multitask are essential for success at Carter’s.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail customer service preferred.
• Ability to assist customers with product styles and benefits.
• Provide availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and explain product styles, features and benefits.
• Resolve customer issues proactively in a busy retail environment.
• Assist with omnichannel needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Process transactions at the point of sale/register quickly and accurately.
• Restock and replenish floor merchandise as needed.
• Explain current promotions and the brand loyalty program to customers.
• Maintain a safe, clean store to minimize loss.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
