Job summary

Carter’s, Inc. is seeking a Sales Associate to be the first face of the brand for growing families.

You’ll greet customers, introduce baby essentials, and help families prepare for school days while joining a welcoming, inclusive team culture. The role involves assisting with product styles, features, and benefits; resolving issues in a busy retail environment; supporting omnichannel needs; processing POS transactions; stocking and replenishment; promoting promotions and loyalty programs; and

• Customer service experience or aptitude.
• Ability to multitask in a busy retail environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with products.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and balance multiple customers in a busy store.
• Assist with omnichannel needs to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions.
• Complete floor replenishment and shipments as needed.
• Explain current promotions and loyalty program details to customers.
• Maintain a safe, clean store and minimize loss through quality service.

What You’ll Do:

• Welcome customers with a warm greeting and provide assistance with our product styles, features, and benefits
• Confidently and proactively resolve issues for customers and balance a number of customers in a busy retail environment
• Meet customer needs by assisting with omnichannel as needed to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Execute and expedite point of sale/register transactions
• Complete floor replenishment and shipment as needed
• Articulate current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers
• Minimize store loss by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe, clean store

Qualities we’d love in a candidate:

• A positive and solutions-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated customer service and engagement skills
• Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tasks at once

You can:

• Lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time; climb up and down a ladder
• Provide availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 - $19.25 per hour based on experience and location.
