Job summary

Haven Hospice Attic Resale in Chiefland, FL, is seeking a friendly Attic Sales Associate for part‑time hours (20–24 hrs/week, Mon–Sat, 9a–6p). You’ll handle customer transactions, assist donors, and help merchandise the sales floor while supporting daily store operations in a mission‑driven environment.

Ideal candidates have retail cashier experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail cashier experience preferred, especially in apparel/thrift.
• Valid Florida Driver’s license and Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with product rotation, pricing, stocking, and merchandising.
• Keep the checkout area clean, well-stocked, and safe at all times.
• Greet and assist donors; accept donations and provide appropriate tax forms.
• Answer phones and schedule donation pickups as needed.
• Demonstrate critical thinking to improve store operations or customer service.

Responsibilities

As an Attic Sales Associate, You will:

• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, including handling cash, checks, gift certificates, traveler’s checks, coupons, and refunds
• Practice suggestive selling and use other techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience
• Assist with product rotation, pricing, stocking, and merchandising to ensure a well-organized and appealing sales floor
• Keep the checkout area clean, well-stocked, and safe at all times
• Answer phones, provide donation information, and schedule donation pickups as needed
• Greet and assist donors; accept donations and provide appropriate tax forms
• Demonstrate critical thinking by identifying and recommending improvements to store operations or customer service processes

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in retail environment as a cashier, preferably in apparel, thrift/consignment
• Valid Florida Driver’s license and Insurance
