Job description

About the Role

All Store Team Members play an essential role in building the company brand by delivering excellent customer service. You will provide service and drive sales by engaging with customers and advising them on products. While both part‑time and full‑time positions generally focus on sales responsibilities, you may also be assigned merchandising, front end or other responsibilities as needed. Internally you will be referred to as Service Team Member and report to the store management team. You will maximize product inventory, including processing freight, organizing and distributing inventory, pulling and stocking merchandise, building displays and end caps, placing signage, and supporting digital business operations by fulfilling orders and assisting with in‑store and curbside pick‑up and delivery services, including driving and making deliveries if assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional service and a personalized experience by greeting customers, engaging to build relationships, and informing them about products and services.
  • Participate in wine, spirits, and beer training to build product knowledge.
  • Maintain knowledge of advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards across the store.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe and compliant store environment.
  • Complete cross‑functional responsibilities as assigned and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Load and deliver orders in a safe and professional manner, following company policies and procedures and abiding by all traffic and safety laws – if delivery is added as an essential job function.
  • Assist with merchandising, front‑end duties, or other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–3 years of work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience in a retail setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with point‑of‑sale systems and inventory management software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as business requires, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Walk, bend down repeatedly, and be on feet for 8–10 hours a day.
  • Ability to safely lift, load, and handle cases and pallets.
  • Climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. overhead repeatedly.
  • May be exposed to various outdoor weather conditions throughout the workday.
