JOB TITLE: SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register
• Must pass background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry
• Effective communication skills with management, employees, customers, and donors

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as carts, fixtures, furniture, etc.
• Ability to operate a telephone
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform repetitive motions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Greet customers and donors, providing prompt and courteous assistance
2. Stock priced items on the sales floor according to standards
3. Sort donations as per standards
4. Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including cleaning windows, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning bathrooms and donation areas
5. Follow POS/Cash Register policies
6. Maintain safety standards and report hazards
7. Adhere to HR policies and attend monthly meetings
8. Follow dress code policies
9. Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
10. Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately
11. Inspect products for defects and damages
12. Maintain donation trailer/pod area
13. Assist donors with donations and provide receipts
14. Sort and stack donated materials properly
15. Perform additional duties as assigned by management
