The Davey Tree Expert Company in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Sales Arborist Representative Trainee to learn how to sell professional tree care services, educate residential and commercial customers, and develop ongoing plant health programs. Your office is outdoors, with daily field and customer interactions, and you’ll join a team focused on safety, service, and growth.

Qualifications

• Must love the outdoors and engage with customers.
• ISA Certified Arborist or obtain within 6 months.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge.
• Good people skills; self-motivated; organized; computer proficient.
• Must complete Tree Biology, Tree Pruning/Removal, Plant Health Care courses.
• Pesticide licenses preferred per state law.

Position Overview

Sells products to business, government establishments or individuals at sales office, customer’s place of business or other locations by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

What You'll Do:

• Learn to work as a tree doctor that makes house calls!

• Educate residential and commercial customers on the needs of their trees.

• Provide customers with estimates based on their needs.

• Develop and update annual plant health care programs.

• Create and build relationships with new and existing clients.

• Set up and supervise crew members assigned to customer jobs.

• Learn to be a part of the office and field management team.

• The Sales Representatives assist the District Manager in the direction of the whole team.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Love of the outdoors

• Must be an ISA Certified Arborist OR obtain ISA Certified Arborist ® after hire (within 6 months)

• Required: Valid driver’s license

• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge

• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized

• Must be able to complete extension courses on Tree Biology, Tree Pruning and Removal, and Plant Health Care

• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
