Job summary

Groundworks, North America's leader in foundation solutions, seeks a Service Technician to meet homeowners face to face, assess needs, and present proven systems. You’ll earn steady pay plus commissions while working with a national brand and receive industry-leading training.

You will inspect and service preexisting foundation repair and water management solutions, recommend additional options, and maintain strong customer relationships through professional, reliable service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of proven sales experience preferred but not required.
• Construction/Home Improvement experience preferred.
• A valid, non-restrictive Driver's License is required.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute appointments scheduled with customers and travel to customers' home.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and professionally represent the company.
• Recommend additional products and services to enhance or improve original installation.
• Perform annual maintenance visits and reactive service appointments.
• Install additional products purchased by the customer as necessary.
• Communicate job status and submit documentation to Service Manager and customer.

They focus on partnering with customers to inspect and service preexisting company installed foundation repair and water management solutions. The Service Technician supports our customers with additional solutions options and needs.Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecute appointments scheduled with customersTravel to customers' home based on assigned appointmentsBuild long-term relationships with customers and professionally represent the companyRecommend additional products and services to enhance or improve original installation or to remedy a potential issue through established processes and proceduresPerform annual customer maintenance visits, examining work previously completedPerform reactive service appointments, diagnose, and fix any issuesInstall additional products purchased by the customer as necessaryAdhere to safety regulations and procedures when carrying out responsibilitiesExamine solutions installed by the company and determine potential warranty or non-warranty workCommunicate the status of each job (completions and complications) and submit all necessary documentation to the Service Manager and customer as requiredIt is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.Other duties as assignedQualifications1 or more years of proven sales experience preferred but not requiredConstruction/Home Improvement experience preferredProven customer relations experience preferredHigh school diploma or GED or equivalent experienceA valid, non-restrictive Driver's License is requiredWorking ConditionsThe employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively lifts and carries heavy loads.The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand and arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
