Job summary

Clean Harbors, via Safety-Kleen in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee to train for a Class B box truck. The role includes on-site service, waste pick-up, and selling products along a defined route.

Training to CDL B is provided, with a 5-day Safety Kleen Academy in Elgin, IL as part of onboarding. Candidate must travel for full academy and be able to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements; position offers comprehensive benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• CDL B within 180 days of employment (company paid).
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 30 days of CDL B.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions at customer locations.
• Complete required documentation and labeling.
• Generate/collect leads from customers for new products and services.
• Sell additional products and services into existing accounts.
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements.
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Safety-Kleen in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver Trainee (Driver Class B Trainee). This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route. Safety-Kleen will pay for you to obtain your CDL.

This position requires attendance at a 5-day, in-person Safety Kleen Academy in Elgin, IL (1st week at local branch and 2nd week at academy) as part of your onboarding and training. Attendance is mandatory. Safety Kleen provides airfare, hotel accommodations, transportation to/from the Academy, breakfast and lunch, and a $38 nightly per diem. Academy training is paid at your normal rate. Candidates must be able to travel and attend the full 5-day Academy to be eligible for this position.
