Job summary

Clean Harbors in Madison, WI is seeking a CDL B Sales and Service Route Driver. The role trains you to operate a Class B box truck to provide on-site service for parts washers, to pick up containerized waste, and to sell products and services along a defined route. We offer CDL training and competitive pay with OT and benefits.

You will visit 10-12 customer sites daily, perform drum changes, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering reliable service in a fast-paced field role.

Qualifications

• CDL B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service abilities.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Visit 10–12 customer sites per day.
• Switch 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads.
• Deliveries and pick-ups and ensure timely completion.
• Operate in compliance with DOT and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks
• Up-sell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Class B CDL
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment

• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
