Job summary

BRAKEmax Tire & Service Centers in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Sales & Service Advisor to greet customers, assess needs, and guide them through services from check-in to checkout. You will review vehicle history and inspections, explain options, build estimates, and coordinate with technicians.

Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within the Sun Auto Network. The role requires strong customer service, ability to learn store systems, and a flexible schedule including weekends;

Responsibilities

• Explain maintenance, repair, tire, warranty, and financing options clearly.
• Build estimates, work orders and invoices in the POS system.
• Schedule appointments and verify parts availability.
• Follow checkout procedures and review completed work.
• Keep customers updated on service status, timing and cost.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers in person and by phone, listen to their needs, and build trust from the first hello.
• Review vehicle history, Digital Vehicle Inspection results, and technician findings to recommend the right products and services.
• Clearly explain maintenance, repair, tire, warranty, and financing options so customers can make confident decisions.
• Build accurate estimates, work orders, and invoices in the point-of-sale system.
• Keep customers updated on service status, timing, and cost throughout the day.
• Partner with technicians and store leadership to manage workflow and keep repairs on track.
• Schedule appointments, verify parts availability, and follow proper checkout procedures, including reviewing completed and declined work.
• Make post-service follow‑up calls to ensure satisfaction and encourage return visits.
• Help keep the store clean, safe, and customer‑ready, and follow all safety procedures and required PPE.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed, and uphold Sun Auto's core values and company policies.

• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred

• Previous Service Advisor experience or other retail automotive sales experience.
• Basic knowledge of automotive products and services, including tires, brakes, batteries, alignments, maintenance intervals, and common repair categories.
• ASE Certified Service Consultant Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• State Inspector License, in applicable locations, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire if required by the store.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Automotive shop and retail service environment with exposure to moderate to loud noise, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, and caustic materials.
• Temperature variations may include extreme heat and/or extreme cold.
• Ability to stand up to eight hours per day and walk to access various areas of the building.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly, with full range of motion in arms and hands.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus; use of safety goggles or other PPE as required.
• Ability to communicate with customers, technicians, service advisors, managers, and shop teammates.
