Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Sales & Service Advisor. This full-time role offers a pay range of $60,000 to $100,000 per year, with opportunities for bonus and career growth. You will greet customers, discuss needs, and guide them from check-in to checkout.

You’ll learn our products and services, build accurate estimates, and work with technicians to keep repairs on track in a fast-paced environment. Weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in person and by phone, listen to their needs.

• Build estimates, work orders, and invoices in the POS system.
• Keep customers updated on service status, timing, and cost.
• Schedule appointments and follow checkout procedures.
• Make post-service follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety and follow PPE.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers in person and by phone, listen to their needs, and build trust from the first hello.
• Review vehicle history, Digital Vehicle Inspection results, and technician findings to recommend the right products and services.
• Clearly explain maintenance, repair, tire, warranty, and financing options so customers can make confident decisions.
• Build accurate estimates, work orders, and invoices in the point-of-sale system.
• Keep customers updated on service status, timing, and cost throughout the day.
• Partner with technicians and store leadership to manage workflow and keep repairs on track.
• Schedule appointments, verify parts availability, and follow proper checkout procedures, including reviewing completed and declined work.
• Make post-service follow-up calls to ensure satisfaction and encourage return visits.
• Help keep the store clean, safe, and customer-ready, and follow all safety procedures and required PPE.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed, and uphold Sun Auto's core values and company policies.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Ability to work in a process-driven environment and follow company service standards.
• Ability to learn and use point-of-sale systems, Digital Vehicle Inspection tools, customer records, scheduling tools, and other store technology.
• Ability to explain service recommendations, estimates, timelines, warranties, and declined work clearly and professionally.
• Ability to manage competing priorities from customers, technicians, and store leadership in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred:

• Previous Service Advisor experience or other retail automotive sales experience.
• Basic knowledge of automotive products and services, including tires, brakes, batteries, alignments, maintenance intervals, and common repair categories.
• ASE Certified Service Consultant Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• State Inspector License, in applicable locations, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire if required by the store.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Automotive shop and retail service environment with exposure to moderate to loud noise, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, and caustic materials.
• Temperature variations may include extreme heat and/or extreme cold.
• Ability to stand up to eight hours per day and walk to access various areas of the building.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly, with full range of motion in arms and hands.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds frequently.
• Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus; use of safety goggles or other PPE as required.
• Ability to communicate with customers, technicians, service advisors, managers, and shop teammates.
