The Salvation Army Portland ARC is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and the production area. You will help maintain a pleasant, hospitable environment, manage donations, and assist in store operations while delivering courteous service to donors and customers.

Ideal candidates communicate well in English, follow directions accurately, and contribute to a respectful, cooperative team. This is a part-time role with benefits such as sick and vacation time.

Responsibilities

• Create a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.

• Keep the store stocked and organized per ARC rag out calendar.

• Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and adhere to store policies.
• Support the work therapy program by modeling professional conduct and work habits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or administrator.

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and be responsible to perform a wide variety of duties in the store and the production area. The Sales and Production Associate will maintain order and create and sustain a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain customer relationships.

Duties:

• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist, as required, with store operations.
• Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Handle merchandise as directed, always maintaining proper categories and colorization.
• Ensure that store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” in accordance with the “ARC COMMAND RAG OUT CALENDAR.”
• Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Be well-versed in and comply with store policies as communicated.
• This position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing beneficiaries with an example of professional conduct and work habits.
• Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor, Store Supervisor, and/or Administrator.

Qualifications:
