Job description

Overview

Copper is making it easy and obvious for everyone to switch to using clean renewable energy to power a better life. We’re doing this by electrifying the end of the grid with batteries inside everyday appliances, starting with Charlie, our battery-equipped induction range. These battery-equipped appliances improve how devices perform, draw power, and fit into the modern home.

As the Sales and Marketing Program Manager you will be the organizing layer for the commercial activities of the company. Comfortable with complex calendaring, spreadsheets, and CRM management, you’ll be the person that makes sure teams are in sync and tracking to deadlines. You’ll also work closely with Sales and Marketing leaders to ensure we’re accurately measuring our work and sharing results internally so we can make informed strategic and tactical choices about our go to market efforts. And, you’ll work closely with our Product team, managing relationships with creative partners (photographers, designers, printers) and driving creative efforts to launch.

You’ll continually improve our go-to-market tech stack (Shopify, HubSpot, Partner.io, and beyond), identify bottlenecks before they slow us down, and champion the kinds of incremental improvements that add up to transformational change. As Copper scales, you'll build the operational backbone that ensures we move faster, ship better, and maintain consistency across every customer touchpoint. This is a role for someone who thrives delivering precision, in collaboration with others, and with continuous improvement.

We value diversity and are committed to building a team that reflects a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. We’re especially focused on fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can contribute to our shared mission.

This is a full-time position and it is expected to be in-office 4 days per week with 1 day flexible for in-office or remote work. Our office is located in Berkeley, CA.

What you’ll do
  • Coordinate the sales & marketing team's operating rhythm including running internal meetings.
  • Serve as a point of coordination and connection between marketing, sales, business development, and product functions.
  • Manage production timelines for marketing, graphic design, and sales efforts with tight coordination with marketing campaign schedules, tracking every design deliverable for speed and consistency across content channels.
  • Serve as a point of contact for vendors for marketing production and collateral.
  • Manage our library of collateral so current versions are on hand and ready to use
  • Support sales and marketing in CRM use, including reporting and dashboards on pipelines, forecasts, and sales performance.
  • Onboard new sales hires into CRM and sales tools, and provide ongoing training as processes evolve
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation within the CRM as the sales team scales
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with sales tech stack vendors, including our existing stack of Shopify, Hubspot, and Partner.io.
What you’ll bring
Expertise
  • Demonstrated experience in sales operations, revenue operations, or a similar role with hands‑on CRM ownership, ideally at a technology or hardware company
  • CRM administration experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) including data hygiene, workflow/automation setup, and reporting
  • Experience coordinating a sales team's operating cadence. Running meetings, pipeline reviews, follow‑through on action items
Expertise (nice-to-have)
  • Experience at a hardware or physical-product company (including demo unit logistics for events)
  • Experience in creative production, program management, or a hybrid technical/non‑technical operations role.
  • Experience planning or supporting trade show/conference execution
  • Experience managing sales collateral or enablement content
  • Experience working at a design consultancy or integrated with an in‑house design team
  • Familiarity with sales enablement platforms in addition to core CRM
Communication and cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication – you sweat the details, run meetings efficiently, and represent a program to outside partners.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Clear, proactive communicator who can work across Sales, Marketing, and Product
  • Comfortable with occasional travel for event support
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages (nice-to-have)
Joy and passion for work
  • Comfort in an always‑changing start‑up environment
  • Willing to step into whatever project or situation needs your assistance
  • Calm under pressure. You bring clarity when things get chaotic.
  • Comfortable operating in a program that spans multiple functions and isn't fully standardized yet
  • Low ego, high accountability. You collaborate cross‑functionally with openness.
  • Mission‑driven. You care about electrification and building products that truly serve customers.
