Job description

QE Solar is one of the nation's largest independent solar and BESS operations and maintenance providers, with over 15 years of operating experience. We manage 10 GW of solar and 7.5 GWh of BESS across 44 states, supporting asset owners with multi-hundred MW utility solar projects and large standalone BESS systems. We're pure-play O&M. That focus means our entire organization is built around one thing: keeping solar and storage assets running well. Our technicians carry broad OEM certifications, and our in-house capabilities span MV/HV electrical, vegetation management, engineering, and capital improvements, to streamline asset management for project owners.

We are seeking a highly organized, technically proficient and proactive Sales Analyst to support sales and business development across the organization.

Position Summary
  1. Pipeline Development - Build sales pipeline through targeted outbound outreach to prospective customers booking qualified meetings for BD staff across our QE Solar’s business lines.
  2. Proposals - Write and manage proposal responses to RFPs while maintaining a library of approved content that makes each new proposal faster to produce.
  3. Sales Support – Support the BD team in day-to-day sales activities, including meeting preparation, collateral, pricing and contract coordination, and follow-up that keeps pursuits moving from initial contact to signed contract.
  4. Analytics and AI Automation – Provide data analytics for internal and external clients, generate budget templates and support sales to operational business unit handoff. Design AI-powered workflows and agents to speed up and improve quality of business development processes.

This is a chance to build a career at the center of a fast-growing company. You will work across every part of QE Solar’s business, from utility-scale solar and storage to engineering, module washing, vegetation management, and repowering, and you will see how deals get found, pursued, and won from start to finish. You will also have room to build, because we want you to use AI to change how our BD team works. If you want a role where your ideas all show up in the company’s growth, this is for you.

Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development (Approximately 40%)
  • Research and qualify IPPs, asset owners and managers, engineers, EPCs, utilities, and developers that fit our utility O&M, DG O&M, engineering, vegetation management, module washing, and repowering service lines, and build targeted prospect lists.
  • Run outbound campaigns by email, phone, and LinkedIn to book meetings for senior BD staff.
  • Track market events that create openings, such as new commercial operation dates, asset sales, contract expirations, and O&M provider changes.
  • Keep contact, account, and activity data clean and current in CRM.
Proposals (Approximately 30%)
  • Draft and assemble responses to RFPs across our service lines.
  • Build and maintain a library of approved content, including company descriptions, past performance, case studies, staff bios, and standard technical approaches.
  • Gather inputs from internal teams to respond to RFP questions.
  • Check every response against the solicitation requirements before submission, and keep a record of submissions, outcomes, and lessons learned.
Sales Support (Approximately 15%)
  • Assist BD team with account research, briefing materials, and agendas ahead of customer meetings and site visits.
  • Capture meeting notes, action items, and next steps, and see that follow-up happens on time.
  • Gather pricing inputs and help assemble quotes and contract documents with operations, engineering, and finance.
  • Create and update sales collateral, such as capability statements, service line one-pagers, and presentation decks.
  • Support trade shows, conferences, and industry events, including logistics and lead follow-up.
Analytics and AI Automation (approximately 15%)
  • Build reports and dashboards on pipeline, win rates, and proposal outcomes for BD leadership and clients.
  • Create budget templates for new pursuits and support a smooth handoff of won work from sales to the operating business units
  • Design AI-powered workflows and agents for lead research, outreach drafting, RFP requirement extraction, first-draft proposal responses, CRM data hygiene, and first-pass contract review.
  • Use public data sources such as EIA filings and interconnection queues to identify and prioritize target customers.
  • Connect tools through workflows, integrations, and automation platforms, and document what you build so the team can use and maintain it.
Qualifications
Required
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales development, sales operations, proposal writing, BD analytics, or a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
  • Strong business writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate proposal content.
  • Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Hands‑on experience building with multiple AI systems, whether through prompt‑based workflows, custom agents, or automation tools.
  • Comfort with automation tools and with connecting systems together.
Preferred
  • Experience responding to complex RFPs, especially for utilities or IPPs.
  • Industry experience in renewable energy, field services, or O&M.
  • Familiarity with solar, BESS, or the O&M market, including vegetation management and modules washing/optimization services.
  • Experience with a CRM, ideally HubSpot, and some familiarity with its workflows and integrations.
  • Experience building AI tools or applications.
Key Attributes for Success

  • Clear, accurate writing that holds up under customer review
  • Works well across teams and keeps people aligned on deadlines and deliverables
