Job summary

Hershey Entertainment & Resorts is seeking a Sales Accounting Intern to support the Finance Department with reconciliation of funds for the Hershey Entertainment Group, focusing on the Sales Department this summer.

As an intern, you will process corporate and group ticket orders, post payments, handle deposits, and assist with ticket programs and complimentary ticket requests, gaining hands-on experience in accounting within a vibrant entertainment environment.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior by Spring 2028
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Previous accounting exposure preferred
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Detail oriented with accurate data entry capabilities

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing corporate and group ticket orders, posting payments, and preparation of deposits in a timely manner.
• Assist in maintaining and facilitating the Giant/Martins Ticket Program.
• Assist in facilitating all complimentary ticket requests.
• Research account inquiries from both internal and external customers; provide accurate information and problem-solve for clients and guests.
• Process ticket returns and crediting of proper accounts.
• Work closely with the Financial Accountant - Sales & AR to ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and files in accordance with company standards.
• Support general accounting functions including completing monthly and annual close tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

The Sales Accounting Intern would assist the Finance Department with reconciliation of funds for the Hershey Entertainment Group, with a primary focus in the Sales Department.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Assist in processing corporate and group ticket orders, posting payments, and preparation of deposits in a timely manner.*

Assist in maintaining and facilitating the Giant/Martins Ticket Program.*

Assist in facilitating all complimentary ticket requests.*

Research account inquiries from both internal and external customers. Provide accurate information as needed and problem-solve to provide answers to clients and guests.*

• Must be an undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior by Spring 2028, pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Previous accounting exposure is preferred.

Must be comfortable working in a team environment.

Must be comfortable communicating detailed information with clients over the phone or in person.

Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines.

Must have the ability to safeguard confidential information.

Must be comfortable working on a computer, in particular with Microsoft Office programs.

Must be detail oriented with strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Must have efficient data entry skills.

Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, where prioritizing skills are necessary.

Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven organizational skills.

Job Demands:

• Must be able to work on-site in Hershey, PA between March or April 2027 and work through August 2027.

Some flexibility for working hours is acceptable, and will be determined among applicant hired. The working schedule for this position includes 30-40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM during the summer. (The intern's class schedule will be considered for March/April scheduling).

Finger dexterity and ability to view a computer screen for lengthy periods of time.

Primarily sitting for 85% of position.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. independently.
