This is an in office position, Monday-FridayLocations: Orem, Utah, South Jordan, UTBehavioral health experience preferredPurpose - The Clinical Outreach Specialist increases appropriate admissions through strong relationships with healthcare providers, therapists, psychiatrists, hospitals, inpatient programs, schools, community partners, and other referral sources. Success in this role is measured by qualified referral activity, trusted provider relationships, admissions generated through outreach, accurate CRM documentation, and the ability to educate referral sources on the Company treatment model and appropriate clinical fit.Key Performance Indicators and ReportingComplete assigned monthly outreach goals, including standard targets of 40 provider meetings, 4 tours, and 1 hosted event unless adjusted by Outreach Leadership.Achieve assigned revenue, referral, admissions, or census-support goals for the territory.Maintain accurate CRM documentation for 100% of meaningful referral source contacts, meetings, tours, follow-ups, barriers, and next steps.Develop and maintain a current target account list and preferred provider network for the assigned territory.Follow up on referral source questions, service issues, and referral opportunities within the timeframe established by the department.Submit daily or weekly KPI updates and monthly expense reports accurately and on time.Support local events, clinic tours, provider education, community events, and new-facility launches as assigned.Upon achieving these key performance indicators, your supervisor will meet with you to review progress and collaborate on establishing new performance goals that reflect continued growth and excellence.Core CompetenciesDemonstrate strong relationship-building ability with healthcare providers, therapists, psychiatrists, hospitals, schools, and community partners.Demonstrate ability to communicate clearly about OCD, anxiety, ERP, IOP level of care, admissions process, outcomes, and appropriate referrals.Demonstrate strong prospecting, follow-up, provider education, objection handling, and territory management skills.Demonstrate disciplined CRM use, accurate data entry, route planning, expense reporting, and goal tracking.Demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, and ethical outreach behavior in all provider relationships.Core Responsibilities - These duties may vary depending on job assignments and Company needs.Prospect and develop new referral sources, including therapists, psychiatrists, primary care providers, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, hospitals, inpatient facilities, schools, and behavioral health organizations.Educate providers on the Company services, clinical fit, outcomes, therapy process, referral process, family involvement, and how to access care.Conduct lunches, in-person meetings, one-on-one follow-ups, group presentations, tours, conference conversations, and community outreach activities.Prioritize high-yield accounts and create daily, weekly, and monthly plans for outreach activity and admissions generation.Maintain accurate provider contact lists, account notes, follow-up tasks, referral source status, and email information in the approved CRM.Collaborate with Admissions to support timely referral follow-up, provider updates, and smooth referral experiences.Collaborate with site leaders to understand program availability, census needs, client fit, tour opportunities, and referral source concerns.Identify provider objections, barriers to treatment, access issues, payer questions, and market feedback and route concerns to the correct internal owner.Participate in local events, open houses, provider education sessions, conferences, and outreach campaigns as assigned.Adhere to all Company policies, outreach communication standards, confidentiality requirements, and ethical referral practices.Report weekly and monthly to include MTD account management (dirty dishes), MTD admits, leads, and opps, activity 1:1’s, tours, and events, budget vs spend.Required QualificationsBachelor degree in business, marketing, psychology, social work, communications, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.One or more years of healthcare sales, outreach, referral development, admissions, marketing, or relationship-based sales experience preferred.Experience in behavioral health, mental health, medical sales, community outreach, or provider relations preferred.Active book of business or existing local provider relationships preferred but not required unless assigned by leadership.CRM, route planning, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, spreadsheet, and email experience required.Must have reliable transportation, ability to travel locally, and meet all Company requirements for business travel or driving if applicable.Skills and ExpertiseExcellent verbal and written communication with providers, internal teams, clients, and families.Strong sales, relationship management, objection handling, presentation, and follow-up skills.Ability to learn the Company treatment model and explain it accurately in plain language.Strong organization, time management, CRM documentation, and independent work habits.Ability to work in a fast-changing environment while maintaining professionalism and accountability.Physical DemandsAbility to sit, stand, walk, use a computer, phone, CRM, email, video platform, and standard office equipment for extended periods.Ability to travel locally or nationally as assigned, including provider visits, facility tours, conferences, open houses, and community events.Ability to communicate professionally in person, by phone, by video, and in writing with providers, clients, families, employees, and community partners.Ability to occasionally lift or move standard outreach, event, or office materials up to 25 pounds, with reasonable accommodation as required by law.Ability to work in healthcare and behavioral health environments that may include distressed families, sensitive clinical topics, community events, and time-sensitive referral concerns.
