Job summary

Amcor is transforming the packaging industry with innovative, responsible packaging that benefits customers, people and the planet. This role is the key contact for assigned accounts within a territory, providing tactical sales direction and coordinating with stakeholders to defend existing business and grow share of wallet.

The candidate will drive results, build trusted customer relationships, and collaborate with internal teams on strategy, trials and onboarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1+ years relevant experience in technical, sales and general management.
  • Ability to travel domestically & internationally 30% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for assigned territory.
  • Learn about Amcor, our products, the industry and competitive market
  • Increase business with existing and new accounts through prospecting and networking
  • Assist in key business negotiations for new opportunities, supporting Amcor’s interests demonstrating an ability to influence decision and actions
  • Build relationships with customers based upon trust and respect
  • Build cross-functional relationships to support the share of wallet growth strategies as well as support the commercialization and onboarding process with other key areas (both internal and external)
  • Network externally to become familiar with key influencers and collaborators within the industry with a specific focus on co-packers, machine suppliers, OEMs, industry associations
  • Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trials
  • Manages accounts receivable as acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department
  • Work with Strategic Marketing to understand focus areas to meet strategic unmet customer needs
  • Work with leader on the implementation of defined strategy (technology, product management, commercial) for the market and targeted segments
  • Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting
  • Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results
  • Responsible for the management of Account Planning, Pipeline management, profitability improvements, and churn management in CRM tool

This role is the key contact for assigned accounts within a territory. This role provides tactical sales direction and communication strategies to defend existing business and gain new business.
