Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles across the block and return them to origin during shifts and live auctions.

• Maintain safe, courteous driving in a fast-paced, loud environment.

Role and Team

Reporting to designated managers and supervisors, sale day drivers are tasked with driving vehicles across the auction block from their staging area on the lot, and then returning the vehicles to their point of origin throughout the shift and during our live auction events.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles across the block following all safety guidelines including but not limited to wearing a seatbelt, placing vehicle in park or neutral when coming to a stop and following the ADESA wedge.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area.
• Advise supervisor or lane captain of all breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately
• Always operate motor vehicles safely and practice conservative, cautious, and courteous driving habits

Skills and Attributes

• Drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles
• Basic Reading and number comprehension skills to understand lot organization, safety, and directions.
• Ability to operate a vehicle with a standard transmission preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, loud environment
• Effective interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license that meets the requirements
• Automotive/auction experience preferred
