Job summary

North Country Healthcare in Berlin, NH seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our respiratory therapy team in an on-call capacity. The role follows a 7 on / 7 off rotation and is salaried, paid during the on-call week regardless of hours worked.

The therapist administers oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and other modalities, collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Active NH state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS and/or NRP preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical respiratory experience preferred.
• Must be able to work independently and respond within 30 minutes when on-call.

Responsibilities

• Respond to on-call alerts and provide respiratory therapy as needed.
• Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, ventilator support, and other respiratory modalities.
• Evaluate patient conditions and recommend respiratory interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and outcomes.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
