Job summary

Food City is seeking a friendly Salad Bar Associate to join our team in Kimball, TN. You will provide efficient and courteous service to customers, help set up and maintain the salad bar, rotate stock, and assist with ordering, receiving and display as directed by the bakery/deli manager.

This role supports daily operations with on-site shifts, focuses on food safety, freshness, and teamwork, and offers opportunities to grow with a respected family-owned grocer in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Food Service experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine tasks and interact with others daily.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to time policies.

• Keep work station and area around work station neat and clean.
• Assist bakery/deli manager in ordering, receiving and displaying all salad bar product.
• Rotate all merchandise when stocking to ensure freshness and quality.

• Take inventory of product as directed by the bakery/deli manager.
• Assist and coordinate training of salad bar associates as directed by the bakery/deli manager.

• Enforce and maintain the company food safety program.

• Bail boxes.
• Enforce and maintain the company food safety program.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

• Food Service experience a plus, but not required

• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
