Job summary

Meydenbauer Bay Yacht Club (MBYC) seeks a proactive YS Director & Head Coach to lead youth sailing programs, hire and train staff, and oversee summer camps. You will coordinate registrations, schedules, and on-call rotations, and mentor coaches and sailors throughout the season.

You will manage regatta planning, coordinate with MBYC Youth Sailing Chairs, and ensure safety with US Sailing certifications. This full-time role requires strong leadership, clear communication with families, and

Qualifications

• Experience leading sailing programs and supervising staff.
• Ability to organize camps, rosters and registrations.
• Strong communication with youths, families and volunteers.
• Proven ability to manage schedules and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and manage staff for 10 week summer camp.
• Roster staff for summer camps and approve timesheets.
• Lead staff training days and on-call support during camps.
• Coordinate camp registration and communicate with youthsailing@ mbycwa.org.
• Organize regatta logistics and MBYC YS activities.
• Mentor sailors to become future instructors and lead teams.
