Job description

SUMMARY:

• Fires boilers and controls generation of a continuous supply of steam for heating the hospital buildings, supplying power to machinery and auxiliary equipment, laundry and sterilizing operations
• Observes operating equipment, meters and gages to insure that operation is in accordance with specified instructions
• Manipulates valves to adjust and correct malfunctions
