Job summary

TydeCo is seeking a remote Sage Intacct Designer for part-time, contract work. As a trusted contractor, you will design, configure, and implement Sage Intacct solutions, optimize reporting, and ensure GAAP compliance across client deployments.

You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, migrate data, and provide end-user training while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and value. This role is fully remote and requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Sage Intacct Designer – Part-Time, Contract, Freelance, Remote

Overview:

TydeCo Inc. (“Company”) is engaging an independent contractor (“Contractor”) to provide Sage Intacct Design and Implementation services within the ERP Department. This engagement is designed for a highly skilled Sage Intacct professional who will serve as a strategic advisor and mentor, supporting multiple client engagements and ensuring the successful delivery of tailored accounting and financial system solutions.

The Contractor will bring deep expertise in Sage Intacct configuration, customization, reporting, and system integration, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective financial management solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of financial processes, and the capability to design and implement scalable, efficient workflows that enhance client operations.

By leveraging their technical and functional expertise, the Contractor will collaborate with both clients and internal teams to optimize Sage Intacct deployments, improve automation, and ensure seamless adoption of ERP best practices.

This engagement will be performed on a fully remote basis and may be based anywhere in the U.S., Canada or South Africa. While the Contractor will not have a formal reporting relationship, all deliverables and services will be evaluated by TydeCo leadership Team Manager(s) to ensure alignment with project objectives and quality standards.

Scope of Services

Global Support

• Operate within a global framework, ensuring adaptability to support teams, meet deadlines and participate in virtual meetings across multiple time zones based in Canada, South Africa, U.K. or the U.S., as needed.
• Collaborate with international stakeholders, adjusting to varying schedules and priorities as needed.
• Facilitate seamless communication and coordination across ERP teams to support operational efficiency.
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate time-sensitive tasks and cross-regional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and customize Sage Intacct to meet business needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing financial and operational workflows.
• Develop and optimize financial reports, dashboards, and analytics within Sage Intacct, ensuring accuracy and usability for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify pain points, and recommend efficient solutions within the software.
• Implement best practices in financial management by ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls across Sage Intacct configurations.
• Support data migration and integration efforts, leveraging SQL, scripting languages, and data integration tools when applicable.
• Troubleshoot system issues, resolve technical challenges, and provide guidance on enhancing system performance.
• Document system configurations, workflows, and customizations to maintain clear records of implemented solutions.
• Train end-users on Sage Intacct functionalities and best practices to enhance system adoption.
• Collaborate with sales/account management teams to align deliverables with scope and client expectations.
• Identify service expansion opportunities and areas of client value.

• Expertise in Sage Intacct: Deep understanding of its modules, reporting, automation, and customization capabilities.

• Financial & Accounting Knowledge: Strong grasp of GAAP, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash management, and budgeting.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of proven Sage Intacct experience, including implementation and configuration of GL, AP/AR, Cash Management, Multi-Entity, and Reporting.
• Strong understanding of workflows, automation, and API integrations to optimize system performance.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls, with experience in data migration, system mapping, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing end-to-end ERP implementations, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to train users and document processes effectively.
• Sage Intacct Certifications or other relevant accounting certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct modules, customization options, reporting capabilities, and integrations.
• Knowledge of SQL, scripting languages, or data integration tools is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of financial management processes, including general ledger, AP/AR, cash management, reporting, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Work Environment:

Work can take place either in an open office setting or remote setting with the expectation to travel onsite based on business and management needs. This position requires the ability to work a flexible and regular full-time schedule. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer.
