Beacon Mobility is seeking a Driver Trainer to train school bus attendants and operators in vehicle operation and safety procedures, and to evaluate drivers’ knowledge and skills while maintaining compliance with state certification.
The role involves classroom and behind-the-wheel training, conducting driver evaluations, supporting recruitment and safety initiatives, and promoting a positive image of the company across districts.
Alltown Bus Company Under general supervision, trains school bus attendants/operators in vehicle operation and all other aspects of position responsibilities. This position provides classroom and behind-the-wheel driver/attendant training on safe driving procedures and school bus regulations; evaluates bus drivers’ knowledge and skills; maintains required documentation for compliance with State Certification; and transports students over scheduled routes as needed. The Driver Trainer is responsible for training, evaluating, and supporting school bus drivers, aides, and monitors to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient transportation services. This role conducts classroom and behind-the-wheel training, performs driver evaluations, supports safety initiatives, and assists with driver recruitment and retention efforts.
Pay: $75,000/yr
Frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, stoop, and use hands. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to perform emergency bus evacuations. Ability to meet vision and hearing requirements necessary for safe vehicle operation and training activities.
Combination of office, training, and field environments. Exposure to varying weather conditions, diesel fumes, noise, and moderate dust. Must be able to work outdoors and tolerate seasonal temperatures, including summer heat. May require evening or weekend work as needed.
