Ideal candidates hold a related bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of safety experience and OSHA 10/30 certifications. Spanish ability is a plus. The position involves maintaining certifications and coordinating with district staff.

The Safety Instructor will provide hands-on and classroom-style educational courses and programs to Workforce & Economic Development (WED) clients on a variety of safety-related topics. Must be able to work flexible hours. Must be able to work and conduct classes in a variety of school and industrial settings.
Bachelor's Degree in related field of study or minimum of 5 years' experience working in safety as an instructor, or in a position of similar duties and knowledge; minimum high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3-5 years' experience working in safety or related field required. Must be certified or able to become certified to teach OSHA 10 & 30. Preference may be given for ability to communicate in Spanish.
