Chaparral Company is seeking a Safety Professional to support construction projects from our Raleigh, NC base. You will perform standardized safety and quality assessments to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards across sites, guiding teams toward best practices.

Responsibilities include daily site inspections, risk assessment, and updating safety protocols; you will prepare weekly reports and communicate safety issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of safety experience.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• OSHA 30 required.
• Must be able to travel by car throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
• Home base will be the Raleigh, North Carolina branch.

Description du poste

• Function as the Safety Professional on assigned construction projects, performing standardized safety and quality assessments to ensure all sites meet company and regulatory standards.
• Oversee construction processes to confirm compliance with approved designs, document quality issues, and ensure timely communication and resolution of any safety or quality concerns.
• Identify and assess potential risks on each job site and develop, implement, and update safety protocols as necessary to reduce those risks.
• Hold daily site inspections, checking for hazards in tools, machinery, and
• other site equipment.
• Prepare and submit weekly safety reports documenting site conditions, updated safety plans, and any worker concerns. Report all safety incidents and update mitigation plans as needed.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and write comprehensive reports on safety incidents and updates to risk mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with all branch staff to help promote and enforce safety culture.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a safety-related position.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• OSHA 30 required.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other computer applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be available to travel by car throughout Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
• Ability to accommodate overnight travel as needed.
• Home base will be the Raleigh, North Carolina branch.
• May be eligible for per diem based on travel requirements.
