Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial construction experience.
• Obtain OSHA 30 certification within 6 months of hire.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Must be willing to grow as a public speaker.
• Must have a basic knowledge of the 1904 OSHA Recordkeeping standard.

Responsibilities

• Lead within the safety department, under the Project Safety Manager.
• Identify workplace safety hazards and take corrective action.
• Observe and support the Zero Injury System of Safety Excellence.
• Learn basic construction techniques such as rigging, excavation, welding, electrical circuits, mechanical piping, steel erection, and concrete foundations.
• Draft Lessons Learned and Safety Alert documents to be shared throughout the organization.
• Conduct regular safety checks in the field and attend safety meetings.
• Learn about safety program documentation, OSHA recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance.
