Job summary

Azuria Water Solutions seeks a Safety Technician to provide safety oversight from the Cerritos office, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations across multiple sites. You will inspect sites, train staff, and advise on corrective actions to leadership and crews to balance safety with production goals.

This role requires 2+ years in a construction safety environment, familiarity with EHS regulations, and a willingness to travel up to 70% with substantial on-site

Qualifications

• OHS certificate or degree is required or pursued.
• 2+ years of field experience in a construction environment.
• Familiar with Federal and State EHS regulations.
• COR audits experience or COR Auditor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety practices across sites under Safety Manager guidance.
• Inspect job sites, facilities, equipment, and vehicles for safety compliance.
• Provide corrective actions and safety guidance to leadership and crews.
• Deliver EHS training to employees at all levels.
• Travel up to 70% and be on site ~80% of the time.

This role will be responsible for providing safety oversight across multiple sites.ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of the Safety Manager, promote acceptance of sound safety practices and encourage full participation of all company personnel throughout operations.Build relationships with all levels of field employees to educate and balance environmental, health & safety requirements with production goals to ensure compliance with safety-related regulations, systems, and practices.Perform random inspections of job sites, facilities, equipment, vehicles, and investigations.Solve safety related problems on the work site.Immediately work to resolve identified problems by providing specific advice for correction actions to the General Superintendent, Superintendent, Foreman or other worker(s) as appropriate.Recommend safety-related programs, activities, and recognition for employees.Deliver various types of Environmental, Health & Safety training to all levels of employees.QualificationsHave or working toward an OHS certificate, diploma, university degree or related education.2 or more years of related field experience in a construction environment.Must be able to work independently and take ownership of work.Familiar with office reporting and technical writing.Familiar with Federal and State Environmental, Health & Safety regulations.Previous experience with Safety COR audits and the ability to obtain COR Auditor certification.Willingness to travel up to 70% and to be on site at least 80% of the time.Exceptional communication skills as well as tact and diplomacy.Certification to perform training requirements such as HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry. and Rescue and First Aid training.Driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.Ability to facilitate CPR.We offer a starting salary of $75,000 - $90,000 with career growth opportunities and a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision Insurance, prescription drug coverage, annual bonus potential, 401k matching, tuition assistance, paid time off, and much more.Azuria is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
