Job summary

Pneumatech Safety Systems, Inc. is seeking a Safety Technician in Texas. The role focuses on calibrating and maintaining gas monitors for the safety department, and participating in emergency response activities.

You will ensure all work complies with contract requirements and keep the work area clean and organized. The position requires the ability to work various shifts, pass HazMat and respirator physicals, wear SCBA, and travel or work in confined spaces while following PPE protocols.

Qualifications

• Climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, crouch, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pass physicals such as Hazmat and respirator.
• Must be qualified to wear respirators (SCBA).
• Able to work all shifts, weekends as required.
• Able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear PPE.
• Valid driver's license.

Job description

• Calibrate and maintain gas monitors used in the safety department
• Participate in emergency response activities
• Examine the work area to assure that all required work has been completed and is in compliance with the contract requirements
• Maintains cleanliness of the work center and around assigned work area

Qualifications for safety technician:

• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, crawl, crouch, kneel, lift, carry, balance and reach above shoulder level, push or pull weight up to fifty (50) pounds
• Pass all required physicals such as Hazmat, respirator
• Must be qualified to wear respirators (SCBA)
• Must be able to work all shifts, and/or weekends as required
• Must be able to enter and move about in confined spaces and wear personal protective equipment
• Valid driver's license
