Job summary

Warrior Met Coal seeks a safety compliance professional to guide and educate the hourly workforce to meet safety policies and mining laws. The role works with site management to monitor and strengthen compliance, accompany inspectors, investigate incidents, and conduct training.

Based at our Brookwood, Alabama mines, the position emphasizes safe operations and a healthy workplace for all employees, reporting on inspection outcomes to management.

Responsibilities

• Interact with front-line supervisors and hourly workforce to ensure adherence to Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies and mining laws.
• Accompany Federal or State Inspectors during inspections and communicate results to management.
• Perform site visits and audits to strengthen safety compliance.
• Collect Respirable Dust Samples or other health-related samples as needed.
• Conduct training for staff on safety policies and procedures.
• Support other duties as directed.

Job description

Position requires interaction with front line supervision and the hourly workforce to provide guidance and education to achieve and maintain compliance with Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies, federal and state mining laws. Work as an integral member of site management to monitor and strengthen compliance with Warrior Met Coal Safety Policies, federal and state mining laws. Represent site management while accompanying Federal and/or State inspectors and initiate appropriate actions as warranted and convey the results of the inspection to management. Investigate accidents and incidents.

Essential Functions
