Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is hiring a Safety Supervisor to lead Safety Specialists, partnering with Operations to protect frontline workers and customers. You will drive safety training, incidents investigations, and continuous program improvement on field operations across multiple locations, with significant travel.

The role requires an Associate degree in safety-related field, 3+ years safety experience, OSHA 30, and ability to travel 30–40% locally and away from home.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety role.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a safety leadership role.
  • OSHA 30 required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to routinely travel locally and away from home approximately 30–40% of the time.
  • Preferred: OSHA 511, OHST, or CHST certifications.
  • Experience in line clearance, ISA Arborist, or related industry.
  • CTSP credential or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.

  • Prepare evaluations and provide reports and recommendations for Operations and Safety Leadership.

Responsibilities: What You’ll Do as a Safety Supervisor
  • Lead, coach, mentor, develop, and provide feedback to Safety Specialists who support Operations teams.
  • Partner with Operations to support frontline workers and customers, promote learning, and identify and share good practices and lessons learned.
  • Analyze regional safety program effectiveness and collaborate with Regional Leadership teams to develop and improve the safety culture through safety initiatives, education, and training.
  • Provide governance and field oversight for the implementation and continuous improvement of Lewis’s safety programs.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of safety management systems, operational controls, and Safety Specialist support.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents using current methods and causal analysis methods to identify organizational, operational, and other contributing factors and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize high-energy and Serious Injury/Fatality potential exposures and ensure critical controls are established, effective, and implemented.
  • Prepare evaluations and provide comprehensive summary reports and recommendations for Operations and Safety Leadership.
  • Communicate safety program needs with Safety and Training Leadership.
  • Report timely and accurately to the Director of Safety and Human Performance.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and work standards.
  • Perform all other related and necessary duties as assigned.
  • *Significant travel is required to provide governance and oversight of field visits and safety activities. Field engagement will focus on evaluating program effectiveness, identifying system issues, coaching, and strengthening Lewis’s safety programs.
Qualifications: What You Bring

  • Proficiency with computers, smartphones, and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of vegetation management tools, practices, and procedures is a plus.

Responsabilidades
  • Lo Que Harás como Supervisor de Seguridad Liderar, orientar, asesorar, desarrollar y proporcionar retroalimentación a los Especialistas de Seguridad que apoyan a los equipos de Operaciones.

Requisitos
