Responsibilities

• Participate in jobsite safety inspections and help identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Join pre-job safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety discussions.
• Review jobsite safety plans, signage, OSHA postings, and Safety Data Sheets.
• Help maintain safety training, certifications, inspection findings, incident and near-miss documentation.
• Assist with safety training and the development of safety materials.
• Observe field activities to understand construction hazards and safe work practices.
• Participate in incident and near-miss follow-up.
• Work with project teams to promote safe work practices.
• Travel to active jobsites and assist with safety initiatives.

About the Role

Staab Construction is looking for a Safety Intern who wants hands-on experience in construction safety. What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

What to Expect

This is a hands-on internship that includes regular time on active construction sites. You'll be walking and standing for extended periods, navigating uneven terrain, stairs, and ladders, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and wearing required PPE. Construction sites may include exposure to noise, equipment, dust, and changing outdoor conditions.
