Job summary

Aurum Construction, LLC is seeking a Traveling Safety Professional to promote and enforce a strong safety culture across active job sites. The role involves hands-on field work, regular travel, and coordination with the Senior Safety Manager and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of construction safety experience (or equivalent), an active OSHA 30, and the ability to educate crews on safety expectations and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of dedicated construction safety experience.
  • Or 1 yr with a degree.
  • Or 3 yrs with a safety designator.
  • Active OSHA 30 certification is required.
  • Experience supporting general construction projects; concrete and excavation experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and construction safety practices.
  • First Aid instructor certification or related training is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Autodesk or other construction software is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regularly scheduled job-site safety observations and assessments.
  • Attend pre-project safety walks, inspections, and planning meetings.
  • Identify job-site safety risks and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
  • Educate field employees on safety expectations, safe equipment operation, traffic control, and project-specific procedures.
  • Enforce Aurum safety procedures and client/project safety requirements.
  • Maintain daily work logs and accurate safety documentation.
  • Report, document, and help investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, claims, complaints, and unsafe conditions.
  • Review inspection and incident data to identify trends and help implement preventive or corrective actions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry standards, and construction safety best practices.

Job description

Aurum Construction is seeking a Traveling Safety Professional to join our growing team. This role will begin on a project in New Mexico and travel to active projects as business needs require.

Aurum is a fast-growing, self-perform concrete contractor backed by Goldenrod Companies. We build complex, high-profile projects across the country and are looking for a safety leader who is comfortable in the field, proactive in preventing risk, and committed to building a strong safety culture.

Position Summary

The Traveling Safety Professional is responsible for promoting and enforcing Aurum’s construction safety culture across active job sites. This individual will conduct safety observations and assessments, support incident reporting and investigations, ensure proper PPE is available, and maintain close communication with the Senior Safety Manager, project leadership, and field teams.

This is a hands-on field role requiring regular travel, with occasional night and weekend work based on project needs.
