Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering or safety field.

Role Overview:

The Safety Specialist applies scientific and practical knowledge to innovate, design, and improve safety systems, processes, equipment, and tools. Their goal is to enhance safety characteristics aligned with operations, new models, and innovation efforts to achieve safety excellence.

• Lead department initiatives and support complex improvement projects related to safety.
• Proactively utilize PDCA cycles to reduce injuries and hazards, ensuring continuous safety improvements.
• Support safety culture development by collaborating with department leaders, safety advocates, and committees.
• Interpret and apply safety management policies, participate in policy PDCA, and perform risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and safety documentation.
• Present safety activities, analyze data, and develop technical expertise and professional skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field; 0-4 years of safety experience. Strong interpersonal, communication, and planning skills; knowledge of safety regulations; proficiency in Microsoft Office; open to mentorship and working in manufacturing environments.
