Job summary

Atlas Van Lines is seeking a Fleet Safety Assistant in Evansville, IN to support fleet safety and regulatory compliance. You will review safety program portals, assist van operators, and help ensure standards are met with accurate documentation.

This role uses safety tools and internal systems to maintain timely, correct records and provide responsive service to team members and agents in a structured, compliance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous and responsive customer service to department team members, agents, and van operators.
• Assist with reviewing information in safety program portals and confirm communications are received.
• Apply basic knowledge of FMCSRs when performing tasks.
• Support daily safety and compliance-related activities as needed.
• Assist with tracking and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Demonstrate flexibility by helping with a variety of tasks to support department operations.

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and customer‑focused Fleet Safety Assistant to support our fleet safety and compliance operations. In this role, you’ll assist with monitoring safety programs, reviewing documentation, and supporting internal teams, agents, and van operators in meeting safety and regulatory requirements.

You’ll work closely with safety program tools and internal systems to help ensure information is accurate, timely, and properly documented. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting team operations, working with data, and providing responsive customer service in a structured, compliance‑driven environment.

What You’ll Do

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Good customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn internal systems
• Ability to follow established procedures and manage routine tasks in a deadline‑driven environment
