Job summary

Lifespace Communities seeks a Safety and Security Officer for Friendship Village of Bloomington in Bloomington, MN. Start with high school diploma and 2–3 years’ security experience, with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. Hourly pay range provided; pay is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include rounds, drills, incident logs, access control, basic maintenance, and resident/guest assistance to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all residents and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of applicable experience is required.
• A state issued driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Make scheduled rounds inside and outside the building to maintain a secure environment.
• Schedule and ensure fire and disaster drills are conducted each shift with logs.
• Maintain security records and ensure safety equipment is in good working order.
• Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls and notify team members as needed.
• Maintain daily guard reports and ensure accurate information sharing between shifts.
• Control access for guests, residents, and staff with proper identification.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as requested and transport residents or staff as needed.
• Deliver packages, greet residents, assist with luggage and park/ retrieve vehicles.
