Shirley Parsons is currently working with a client seeking a Site Safety Representative to support a data center construction project in Chicago, Illinois. This individual will provide on-site safety oversight, working closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure compliance with safety requirements and promote safe work practices throughout the project.

Location: Chicago, IL

Project: Data Center Construction

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Approximately 50 hours per week

Per Diem: Not available; local candidates are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site safety leadership and conduct regular safety inspections and observations.
• Verify safe work practices involving high-voltage and energized electrical systems.
• Lead safety training sessions and ensure compliance with site safety policies and procedures.

• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively influence project teams and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with EHS management systems and ISO standards is preferred.
• Ability to work approximately 50 hours per week on-site in Chicago.
