Job summary

Dal-Tile, a Mohawk Industries subsidiary, seeks a Safety Manager to lead organizational safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance across our manufacturing sites. You will collaborate with multiple departments to promote a culture of safety and minimize workplace hazards.

Responsibilities include risk analysis, designing loss-reduction programs, training, investigating incidents, auditing safety systems, and coaching site leadership on SMS implementation. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 6–8 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
• Safety training and certificates preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety disciplines and typical industrial safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and classify risks and losses and measure financial impact upon the company.
• Design and direct programs to reduce accidents, occupational illness, and exposure to long term health hazards.
• Train employees and management in safety practices.
• Investigate accidents, injuries, or occupational illnesses to determine causes and preventive measures.
• Review plans and specifications for construction or purchase of new machinery to ensure safety requirements are met.
• Conduct safety audits, record and rate severity level, and assign corrective actions.
• Coach site leadership on the Safety Management System and KPI tracking.
• Create and improve SMS training such as hazard identification and safety communication.
• Ensure OSHA rules and regulations are followed.
• Perform other duties as needed.
