Job summary

Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, seeks an experienced Safety Professional for a Worcester, MA construction project. The role focuses on proactive site safety, audits, and program implementation to protect workers and ensure compliance.

The candidate should have at least 5 years in construction safety, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30, OSHA 500 (preferred CHST), and strong communication skills to coordinate with field teams, management, and clients.

Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with field personnel, management, contractors and clients.
• Basic computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, email, internet).
• Preferred CHST certification.
• OSHA 500 certification.
• Experience on National Grid projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build positive professional relationships with field personnel, management, contractors and outside agencies throughout the project.
• Conduct site and crew safety audits to identify hazards and improve conditions.
• Recognize and reinforce safe work practices across the project.
• Document audit findings and communicate safety observations and corrective actions.
• Review training records for field personnel and ensure compliance with safety programs.
• Assist with Site Specific Safety Plans development and implementation.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and kickoff meetings.
• Ensure client and owner safety requirements are met on site.

Location Worcester MA Pay 5000hour W2 Start Date ASAP Duration Approximately 810 months Schedule MondayFriday approximately 40 hoursweek Project New Construction Per Diem Not Available Local Candidates Only

Medcor Safety a subsidiary of Medcor is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to support a new construction project in Worcester MA This is an anticipated 810 month assignment offering approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday

What Youll Do

• Build positive professional relationships with field personnel management contractors and outside agencies throughout all phases of construction
• Conduct regular site and crew safety audits to identify hazards unsafe work conditions and opportunities for improvement
• Recognize and reinforce safe work practices throughout the project
• Document audit findings and clearly communicate safety observations and recommended corrective actions
• Review and audit training records for field personnel
• Help implement and maintain applicable federal state local client and site specific safety programs policies and procedures
• Review and participate in the development of accident briefs safety publications bulletins and reports
• Assist with the development and implementation of Site Specific Safety Plans
• Participate in project kickoff meetings toolbox talks and other safety related meetings
• Review client and owner safety requirements and help ensure project compliance
• Partner with site leadership and field personnel to proactively address safety concerns before they become incidents

What Were Looking For

• Required Current CPRFirst Aid certification

Physical Requirements This position requires regular standing walking bending squatting sitting climbing stairs and ladders and working on elevated platforms The Safety Professional must be able to communicate effectively maintain appropriate visual awareness of the worksite and occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
