Job summary

Kinsley Construction is looking for a Safety Professional to ensure adherence to safety regulations at job sites in North East, MD and Dagsboro, DE. Responsibilities include training staff, performing inspections, and facilitating safety meetings.

The ideal candidate should have prior construction experience, safety credentials, and knowledge of OSHA regulations. A valid driver’s license is required, and opportunities for career advancement are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction is preferred.
• Degree or safety credential is preferred.
• Must be willing to commute to job sites as required.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of and/or experience with the rules and regulations of Workers Comp, OSHA, MSHA, and DOT.
• OSHA 10 & 30 hr preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• On-board subcontractors to ensure compliance on Kinsley sites.
• Inspect job sites and machinery for hazards.
• Conduct investigations into workplace incidents.
• Facilitate meetings with onsite management to promote safety.
• Develop training materials for hazardous situations.
• Train employees in various safety topics.

Summary of Position

Kinsley is seeking a Safety Professional to join our expanding team. Based out of both our North East, MD and Dagsboro, DE offices, this role is responsible for ensuring that all applicable safety requirements are clearly communicated to employees and that work activities comply with established safety standards. This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

• On‑board subcontractors to ensure they comprehend what is required by them on a Kinsley site.


• Inspect job sites and machinery for potential hazards and ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.


• Conduct investigations into workplace incidents.


• Facilitate and attend meetings with onsite management to promote workplace safety.


• Develop training materials that reduce employees’ exposure to hazardous materials and situations.


• Train employees in a range of topics (confined spaces, trenching & excavating, fall protection, CPR/FA, etc.).


• Work exceptionally well with employees, customers and business associates at all levels with a professional attitude.
