Qualifications

  • The candidate has a Bachelor's degree in safety or a related field and at least 5 years of safety experience.
  • Preferred CSP or equivalent certification and prior leadership experience.
  • Experience with industrial hygiene, PSM, and combustible dust is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of safety professionals at Ultium Cells 1, Warren, OH.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety strategies aligned with GM guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate across electric vehicle assembly, battery production, stamping, injection molding, body fabrication, paint, facilities, and logistics.
  • Partner with UAW safety representatives to ensure protocol adherence and positive union relations.
  • Drive proactive safety management, auditing, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
