Job summary

Airswift is seeking an experienced Site Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) Supervisor to support a utility-scale solar energy project near La Pryor, Texas. You will serve as the Owner's on-site representative, providing independent oversight of the EPC contractor's safety and environmental programs while ensuring adherence to project HSSE requirements and regulatory standards.

This full-time, site-based role spans 15-18 months.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSSE on construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, electrical safety, lifting/rigging, piling.
• Experience with HSSE audits, site inspections, and incident investigations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee site health, safety, security, and environmental performance throughout project execution.
• Participate in project safety planning and work coordination meetings.
• Perform routine site inspections, field observations, and safety audits.
• Identify hazards and verify that appropriate risk mitigation measures are implemented.
• Support and participate in: Safe Work Observations (SWOs) Workplace inspections HSSE assessments Compliance audits and verifications
• Collaborate with contractor leadership to address and resolve HSSE deficiencies.
• Provide coaching and guidance on safety expectations and best practices.
• Verify proper reporting and investigation of incidents, near misses, environmental events, and security-related issues.
• Ensure timely communication of significant HSSE matters to project leadership.
• Monitor compliance with: SWPPP requirements SPCC requirements
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project stakeholders.

This individual will serve as the Owner's on-site representative, providing independent oversight of the EPC contractor's safety and environmental programs while ensuring adherence to project HSSE requirements, industry best practices, and regulatory standards. This is a full-time, site-based assignment with a projected duration of 15-18 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee site health, safety, security, and environmental performance throughout project execution.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HSSE leadership role on construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of: Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Electrical safety programs Lifting and rigging operations Piling operations
• Experience conducting: Safety audits Site inspections HSSE assessments Field observations
• Working knowledge of: SWPPP requirements SPCC requirements
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Owner's Representative.
• Recent experience supporting: Utility-scale Solar PV projects Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Project Details

• Location: La Pryor, Texas area
• Start Date: Targeting October 1
• Duration: 15-18 months
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
