Job summary

HazTek Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Manager in Berkeley, CA to lead safety operations on commercial construction projects. You will ensure OSHA compliance, implement best safety practices, and foster a culture where every worker goes home safe.

You will oversee daily safety meetings, accident reporting and investigations, and safety audits across all site activities, including fall protection and scaffolding. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• OSHA compliance expertise and safety program implementation.
• Ability to lead safety meetings and investigations.
• Proven track record overseeing subcontractors and safety audits.

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee safety operations on our commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring OSHA compliance, implementing best safety practices, and fostering a culture where every worker goes home safe.

• Oversee all aspects of a commercial construction project ensuring OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily safety meetings
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations
• Daily safety audits and inspections
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors
• Oversee Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years direct construction safety experience required
• Degree in a safety related field preferred
• OSHA 510 and or 500 a plus
• CHST or CSP preferred
• Advance knowledge ofconstruction safety standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
