Job summary

DLB Associates seeks a Safety Manager to lead safety programs across multiple mission-critical construction sites in the Northern United States. You will ensure OSHA/EM 385/NFPA 70E compliance, conduct field inspections, and investigate incidents with root-cause analysis.

Expect to travel up to 75% and train field teams in safety best practices. You will report to the Safety Director and drive continuous improvement, onboarding training, and safety program development across diverse project

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in construction safety and/or critical infrastructure construction safety.
  • OSHA 30 certification (required).
  • OSHA 510, EM 385, and NFPA 70E certifications — or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1910 & 1926 standards and General Duty requirements.
  • Experience with: Incident reporting, inspections, and investigations; Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs/JSAs) and exposure assessments; Root cause analysis and corrective action tracking; Safety audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to clearly communicate safety expectations in the field and build trust with project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation, and auditing of written safety programs (e.g., LOTO, Fall Protection, Confined Space).
  • Partner with the Safety Director to report site-level findings, trends, and recommendations.
  • Travel to project sites (approximately 75%), which include short-term site visits (1–3 days).

Job Summary

The Safety Manager plays a critical role in supporting and executing safety programs across multiple mission-critical construction project sites, primarily throughout the Northern United States. Reporting directly to the Safety Director, this role serves as a field-based safety leader focused on compliance, site inspections, workforce education, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role exists to ensure safe, compliant job sites while also serving as an educational and developmental resource for field teams, helping workers understand not just what the safety requirements are, but why they matter.

This role requires flexibility to travel around the US up to 75%.

Essential Functions

Travel Requirements
  • Up to 75%, this may include travel to any or all 50 US states.
