Job summary

MAC Safety is seeking a full-time safety professional to develop and execute health and safety plans for multiple construction sites. The role oversees contractors, enforces safety policies, and trains staff on prevention and compliance.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of safety experience, construction/automotive exposure, and an OSHA certification set. Travel and standard benefits are offered, with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30, 510 and 500 certifications required or preferred.
• 3-7 years safety experience; construction and automotive safety experience preferred.
• College degree or relative job experience acceptable.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute health and safety plans/training in the workplace
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Prepare safety permits/approvals
• Provide professional expertise

The position is:

• Working for site owner overseeing contractors working on two construction projects
• Paid hourly
• Time and half after 40 hours worked
• Annual raises based on safety performance and reliability
• Mileage mobilization reimbursement to job area
• Daily per-diem will be given to cover all lodging and living expense based off of GSA.gov rates
