Job summary

Sheakley in Carrollton, KY is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a short-term outage project. You will provide daily field safety oversight, monitor confined space work, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations on a large industrial tank rebricking project.

The role requires hands-on field presence, ability to coordinate with craft personnel and supervision, and to conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Overtime and per diem are available.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification is required.
• Valid TWIC Card is required.
• Experience with Confined Space procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight during rebricking operations on a large industrial tank.
• Serve as hole watch and support confined space entry operations.
• Maintain a highly visible presence throughout active work areas.
• Conduct routine site inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor confined space activities, material handling, and contractor work practices.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses, permits, and pre-task plans.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and site-specific safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate safety activities with project management and supervision.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, permits, inspection records, and compliance reports.

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Carrollton, KY

Duration: 10 Days (Start: 8/31)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $49/hr

Overtime: Available if Project Schedule Requires Additional Hours

Per Diem: $125/Day (7 Days Per Week)

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | Approximately 50 Hours Per Week

Additional Schedule Details: Short-duration industrial outage project with immediate safety support needs.
