Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety, compliance, and training initiatives within our transportation operations in Anchorage. This leadership role focuses on reducing risk, delivering classroom and hands‑on training, conducting investigations, and ensuring DOT/FMCSA/OSHA compliance.

You will mentor staff, monitor qualifications, and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to raise safety performance.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of transportation safety, compliance, training, or operations leadership.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and transportation regulations.
• Experience conducting accident investigations, employee coaching, and regulatory audits.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and transportation-related safety systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and transportation regulations.
• Experience conducting accident investigations, employee coaching, and regulatory audits.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience with DriveCam/Lytx or similar safety systems preferred.
• Transit, paratransit, or commercial transportation experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets MV Transportation standards.
